The Solbergs were a lovely couple that left a bequest to Black Hills Workshop Foundation. After visiting with their trustees we established the Solberg School Transition Program. This program concentrates on assisting students when they transition from the school system into our agency. A full time employment specialist was hired who is the point person for this project and purchased two self assessment tools that the students complete.These tools help the students to identify their top interests for jobs. One is a picture assessment for non-readers. The project was started in September of 2007 and have had very positive response by the students and their parents.
